PURCHASING AGENT

Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for a dedicated purchasing agent to join our team. The purchasing agent reports to the finance department and is responsible for identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items.

To be successful as a purchasing agent you should be able to critically assess suppliers, products, and services, and negotiate the best possible deals. Ultimately, an outstanding purchasing agent has a keen sense of business and maintains meticulous transaction records.

JOB EXPECTATIONS + RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
  • Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs.
  • Requesting cost proposals and negotiating contracts and prices.
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders.
  • Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
  • Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries.
  • Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in MRP and inventory management software programs.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organization and documentation skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.

COMPENSATION + BENEFITS:

  • Salary $26/hr
  • 2 weeks paid vacation

SCHEDULE:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Occasional weekends to support inventory counts.

WELDER AND FABRICATOR JOB DETAILS

Job Type: Full-time

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Metal Fabrication: 3 years (Required)
  • English (Required)
  • Driver’s License (Required)

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Must be able to weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using MIG, TIG and Stick techniques
  • Must be able to read and understand shop drawings
  • Must be able to use measuring devices and have strong math skills
  • Candidate will be responsible to fabricate hand railings, stairs and platforms, tanks, brackets, supports, etc.
  • Ability to tig weld sanitary tubing is desired but not required
  • Candidate will be required to use shop equipment to support fabrications. This includes, automated saws, grinders, and welders.
  • Candidate must be willing to cross train to learn operation of automated saws, CNC rolls, CNC press brakes, forklifts, scissor lifts, hoists and rigging.
  • Some overtime will be required based on shop backlog.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
